We look beyond fly fishing when it comes to fostering young outdoor enthusiasts. However, we had to start somewhere, and fishing is near and dear to our hearts.
Through fishing kids can learn to focus, identify, and feel proud of themselves. With catch and release practices they learn the importance of enjoying nature while knowing it is not theirs to keep.
Through illustration and story we aim to encourage children of all ages to forever be inspired by the nature around us.

Everything we design at Brookie Designs has children front of mind while knowing that adults enjoy our fish art as well. Our fish illustrations for kids are bright, fun, and energetic keeping children interested in a sport that can bring challenges and frustrations!
Recognition is important with growing minds. Our trout designs display very simplified illustrations of trout including their patterns and colors to help with identification.
Our children’s books about fishing are cartoony, colorful, and packed with drawings of fish, flies, bugs and landscapes. The goal is to make fishing look magical, because it is!
Future Conservationists
We would not be honest if we didn’t admit that we also want your little one to be a budding conservationist. If you love fishing, then you love trout, and you want to see them forever, right?
As part of our mission to inspire kids to fish, we also want them to be the future stewards of our streams and rivers so that many more children may enjoy the sport of fly fishing.
In order to fulfill this mission we partner with nonprofits like Boulder Flycasters (Trout Unlimited Chapter), donating stickers to their workshops for youth. Interested in partnering? Reach out!
