Meet Brookie
Brookie Designs was created by Tania McCormack as a way to express and share with the world her love for a “design-art world”. With a background in graphic design and acrylic painting, Tania found it an easy fit to start illustrating as well.
Living in Taos, New Mexico Tania draws inspiration from the many outdoor adventures she enjoys with her husband and son.
Hello from Tania
I’m Tania O’Brien McCormack the founder of Brookie Designs. My goal for this project is to help kids see the fun in fishing and to help educate along the way.
As a female angler, I have often found myself the only gal on the river. Over the last few years I have noticed more women in their waders casting rods. I want to see more. And so I starred female fisher kid Cora in my first picture book, and my illustrations lean towards feminine. I hope to specifically gain the interest of young girls, because fishing can be enjoyable to all.

When not illustrating with digital tools, Tania enjoys good old fashioned canvas and paint. Using acrylic she paints portraits, musings, and more.
